Motionwear
The seed for Motionwear was a need - the need for a dancer, daughter of founder Emily Wilson, to find flattering, practical styles that actually fit the dancer’s body. Emily had spent a number of years designing and creating clothes and working in the fabric arts. In 1987, as her daughter Erin became a dedicated dancer, Emily became frustrated- she could not find body wear that really fit the serious dance student.
 After spending countless hours comparing and critiquing leotards, Emily took matters into her own hands and set up shop in her attic. With yards of fabric and some new sewing machines, a small group of well-fitting styles developed. That small seed is what Motionwear has become today.
